Press release - Right2Water urges privatisation ban in first EU Citizens’ Initiative debate - Committee on the Environment, Public Health and Food Safety

Organisers of the “Right2Water” campaign urged the EU Commission to guarantee access to water and sanitation as a human right, and give a legal undertaking that water services will not be liberalised in the EU, in the first European Parliament debate on a European Citizens’ Initiative in Parliament on Monday. MEPs shared the view that access to water is a basic human right, but some pointed out that rules on providing drinkable water remain the remit of EU member states.

Experten: "Cannabis är betydligt farligare för ungdomar"

Alkohol och cannabis är farligt på olika sätt, men skadorna av cannabis märks snabbare och särskilt unga riskerar att drabbas av allvarliga psykiska problem. Det anser drogforskaren Kai Knudsen vid Göteborgs universitet.
– Skadeverkningarna för den mentala hälsan är större ju yngre man är då man börjar och det är allvarligt att cannabis kryper ner i åldrarna, säger Knudsen som är överläkare, universitetslektor och expert i klinisk toxikologi.
